Current Future Mastiff Breedings

Any breeding that we do is only done after a lot of thought, research and planning.  Just because we own a great dog doesn't mean that it will be bred.  A number of our dogs will never be bred.  In order for a dog to become a part of our breeding program it must meet a number of criteria not limited to Correct Breed Type as defined by the Breed Standard, Good Temperament, and good Health as defined through the proper health testing.  We breed on a very limited basis and only for ourselves.  While we do allow a very small number of puppies to go into homes on full registration...most are placed into companion homes on spay/neuter contracts.

5. Have you ever taken a pet to a pound or shelter? If so, what were the circumstances?

6. Do you have other animals? If so, what kind?

7. Do you have children? If so, what are their ages?

8. How long have you been interested in Mastiffs?

9. Where did you first hear about Mastiffs?

10. Have you researched the breed? If so, where?

11. Do you know anyone with Mastiffs?  If so, where did they get their Mastiff?  Rescue?  Breeder?  If a breeder please provide name/Kennel Name.

12. Do you plan on keeping the dog outside? Inside? Both?

13. Do you have a fenced yard? If not, where will the dog be pottied/exercised?

14. Where will the dog sleep?  Do you believe in crate training?

15. Where will the dog be while you are at work?

16. Do you plan on breeding your Mastiff?  If so, have you ever bred a Mastiff litter before?  (Please tell us a bit about your litter(s).)

28.  Do you object to having a home check done by someone in your area?  (A home check is where someone would come to your home and see the environment that the Mastiff would live in and talk to you about Mastiff ownership.)

29. Does anyone in your household have allergies to animals?

30.  Have you ever experienced any major health concerns with a Mastiff (or other giant breed dog)?  If so, can you please share your experience?

31.  Have you ever used Veterinary Pet Insurance?  What would your feelings be if this were a requirement of your Mastiff Purchase?

32. What type of floor surfaces will the dog be on while in the house?  And are there stairs in the home?

33. Do you belong to any Mastiff clubs?  All breed clubs?  Other dog clubs?  If so please list them.

34. Did someone refer you to us (Cedarhollow Mastiffs)?  If so, please list their name(s).  If not how did you hear about us?
